How much does window cleaning cost?
Every home and building is different, so we give a free quote based on the number of panes, stories, and what you need cleaned. We're usually out the next day to give you a quote, just send a request or call us.
Do I need to be home for the appointment?
Not for exterior-only work, as long as we can reach the windows, you can go about your day. For interior cleaning we'll just need someone to let us in.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry liability insurance on every job, so your home or business is covered while we work.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Des Moines metro, Clive, IA, Grimes, IA, Waukee, IA, Urbandale, IA, West Des Moines, IA. Nearby but not on the list? Ask anyway; we travel for the right job.
What's included in the Exterior 3-in-1 cleaning?
Exterior glass, every screen, and every track, cleaned together for a full outside reset. It's our most popular package because it's the difference between clean glass and a window that looks brand new. Pair with our Interior service for the full inside-out treatment.
What if I'm not happy with the results?
We back every job with a streak-free guarantee. If we miss a spot, let us know and we'll come back and make it right.
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
Most homes in the Des Moines metro do well with two cleanings a year, spring (after pollen) and fall (before snow). Homes near corn fields, gravel roads, or with kids and pets sometimes go quarterly.
How long does a typical job take?
A standard single-family home is 1.5–3 hours for glass only, or 2–4 hours for our Exterior 3-in-1 package. Commercial storefronts are usually under 30 minutes.
Do you use ladders?
No. We use water-fed poles with purified water for every story, ground floor up. No ladders against your siding, no risk of slips, and a streak-free finish that won't spot when it dries.
Will window cleaning remove hard water stains?
Light hard-water spotting yes, severe etched mineral deposits no. We can usually tell during the quote and will flag if a window needs a restoration treatment instead.
Do you clean skylights?
Yes, interior and exterior. Skylight access varies a lot by home, so we'll confirm during the quote.
Can you remove paint or construction debris?
Most of it, yes. For new-construction cleanups we use plastic scrapers (never razor blades on tempered glass) to lift sticker adhesive, paint splatter, and concrete bits.
Do you offer recurring or commercial accounts?
Yes. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly schedules are available for commercial accounts. Single invoice for multi-location.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card, ACH, check, or cash. Invoice sent through Jobber after the job, most customers pay the same day.
Are you owner-operated?
Yes, Window Boss is a local, owner-operated crew based in Waukee. When you call, you talk to JT, not a call center.
